Peer to Peer sharing is not a bad thing. It is only that may people misuse it. But it is a revolutionary idea and often makes downloading things a lot easier and faster. Like you can download various linux releases even faster with Torrents. Even many websites officially support torrenting. We can often find an option to download torrent or copy magnetic link. Peer to Peer sharing  reduces the pressure on their server and helps to transfer data more faster. But your college network has blocked it. Now what will you do? After a lot of research you may find a VPN which is free and has generous Bandwith limits.
